This is a guest post on fifty naira is an answered prayer is written by Arthur Offiong.
Many times, the greatest obstacle for entrepreneurs is getting the big-shot income to start-up a desired business. No doubt, without such capital, one may never set-up that kind of business he/she desires.
However, all we may need most times is N50.
Let me share a true story with you.
It is the story of a widow who had two children to feed and educate. All her husband’s properties were taken away by her in-laws. All she had left was 10 cups of garri, water and N50 which a friend had given to her for transport back home.
One morning, she desired to give her two children a special delicacy of soaked garri, groundnut and sugar. At least the best before death knocks at their door. So she rushed and bought a cup of raw groundnut with the money, hoping to use d garri at home to fry it. On a second thought, she took a big risk by sacrificing the best meal for the best deal.
After frying, she took little transparent bags on credit which cost N15 from a ‘shop’ close to her. After frying, she neatly tied them and kept outside for sale. Amazingly, she sold all that day and made a profit after cost of N35.
Later that day, the manager of a nearby hotel who had bought her groundnut, came back to place an order for five bottles to be delivered the next day. That was her miracle.
Enough for today.
I’ll love to hear from you…
